Lexi Naskiewicz
Criminology/Criminal Justice Major
Law and Society Minor
My name is Lexi Naskiewicz and I am from Yardley, Pennsylvania about 30 minutes north of Philadelphia. I am currently a sophomore at University of Maryland majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice and minoring in Law and Society. I love traveling, baking, and spending time with friends.
Both of my parents went to college, my dad went to University of Pennsylvania and my mom went to University of Delaware. I also have one older brother studying at Temple University and my younger brother is a freshman in high school.
I was so excited to join the College Park Scholars program because I wanted to reside in a living-learning community to get closer to my peers. I also was very intrigued by the Public Leadership track because it can be used in any profession I want to go into, as well as be used in everyday life.
I went into Maryland as a Jewish Studies major, and quickly found out that was not meant for me. I luckily fell in love with my first criminal justice class and took all the required classes to switch into what is now my dream major. I hope to have a career within the law, helping change the criminal justice system for the better. I can only imagine what my public leadership skills can do to help me thrive in this field.
